Re: 25/50 Facing River c/r
I think your opponent played it very good, whether he had top pair+ or a bluff. It's a pretty sick hand, but I think I like a call.

Audacious bluff if it is one. Fold?

Re: 25/50 Facing River c/r
You could so easily have K-Qhi here that a bluff probably looks really tempting to opponent with 67 or something.

Re: 25/50 Facing River c/r
Whatever he has, I really like his line against you.
It seems like a good spot to bluff for him obviously. You are getting almost 3 to 1 odds so I think I slightly like a call. |

Re: 25/50 Facing River c/r
A call here is not necesarry bad. Since it is HU there is obv more to it than that! Do you bet a lot on the river when checked to?

Re: 25/50 Facing River c/r
I think JMan has to bet this river 100% of the time or its going to be to obvious when he's floating with much weaker hands and much harder to bluff with hands he floated the flop with.

Re: 25/50 Facing River c/r
Another question then- if we are betting this river so it makes it harder for him to call our flop bet light with, isn't it much better to just bet turn?

Another question then- if we are betting this river so it makes it harder for him to call our flop bet light with, isn't it much better to just bet turn? [/ QUOTE ] I think its better to check the turn and bet/ call the river By checking the turn he can not get bluffed out of the pot and induce a bluff on the river. Against somebody who will float a lot the villain should c/r the turn with any straight/ flush draw ten or better. This line in the long run is very strong when both players can't beat a pair of nines. There are also other reasons, but I'm tired... |
