i had a rough day... if i post this is bbv ill get raped and i know there are solid guys in the stud forum. it just seems like im playing real tight and not getting involved with garbage yet these morons catch all of these wonderful cards and im stuck with unimproved aces and a four flush or four str8 on the river everytime. anyone else have days like this. 50 bb later

You should be happy it's only 50 BB...that's nothing. Right after Party Poker, Pokerroom, and Crypto shut me out I went on an almost 400 bb downswing over 20k hands. Talk about gross...

One piece of advice -- don't make disappointed laydowns when you "have to" be beat with hands like one big pair + unimproved draw. i've posted about this before, but I still believe at low limits when the pots get big and it's one more bet (especially when it's you and one opponent) making crying calls is a major source of profit, and one that it's hard to take advantage of when things aren't going well otherwise. Just last night I won a decent pot with unimproved nines against paired door 3s. Pot was big, I had a flush draw to go with, other players gradually folded out, Imissed on river and was actually planning to fold but 3s made a weak check and I was shocked to see the pot coming my way. Don't let running bad keep you from calling one more in big pots!

Take a break review your hands with poker tracker and a lot of times you find which hands were badly played and which were just unlucky.

Then post some of the worst ones and see if anyone could highlight problems with your game your not seeing.

The true test is how well you bounce back, whenever I have a bad beat I just make a note of the op and look forward to making money of them in the future.

This is what I do, most of the time cursing a little if it's truly a terrible beat. Take pleasure in knowing that in the long run you will have their money.
