Planning Ahead WSOP Event 3 $1500 NL Hold Em, June 2 2007
I'll spare you my history, but I am very interested in playing in the WSOP Event 3 $1500 NL Hold Em, June 2 2007.
I want to go with a buddy and play in this event as it is more affordable for a straight buy in and will likely attract a good deal of top pros being the first $1500 NLHE of the Series. Since I'mplanningmy entire trip around this I want to assure myself a seat. Do Harrahs open pre registration online at any point, withing a few days before it, or do you just buy in the morning of the event? Do they make as many seats and alternates available as needed or will they cap enterants? This will be my first entrance into a WSOP event other than a cpl super sattellites and singe tables. I'm trying to be as pro active as I possibly can so if any of you can assist me with your experience I would be very greatfull. Very Respectfully, KTrain |

Not meaning to press but could you cite a source I can't even find where I would pre-register. WSOP.com only has hotel reservations.
Terribly poor planning if they cant accomodate all comers at the WSOP. |

Re: Planning Ahead WSOP Event 3 $1500 NL Hold Em, June 2 2007
just sign up the day before last year I played in event 17 which was the $1000 event that ended up being at the time like the 3rd largest live event of all time we signed up at like 10pm the night before and there were around 800 signed up then so there were around 2100 people that signed up after 10pm the night before I would spend a few hundred to try and sat in. the 1 table $125 sats were pretty easy you should at least be able to earn some of the buy in back.

Re: Planning Ahead WSOP Event 3 $1500 NL Hold Em, June 2 2007
From past history, the first $1500 no limit televised event on opening weekend will likely be SOLD OUT, even with the added capacity for 2007 (300 tables x 11-handed = 3300 starters, plus up to 600 alternates).
Harrah's will allow online registrations at least a month prior to the start of the 2007 WSOP, so you should have no problems getting your seat if you pay via cashier's check (cheque). |
