Default \"Official\" High Stakes Poker Season 3 (Week of 1/15)

I can't wait! It's not quite the second half of this season's Lost, but it's close.

Info says:
Doyle, Negreanu, Bill Chen, Victor Ramdin, Alaei, and Matusow.

Is Ramdin gonna get destroyed at this table?

I could live without seeing any more of Alaei. His style is boring, he doesn't speak, and he looks like a Palestinian suicide bomber.

Gold is on day 2, so we won't be seeing him for several weeks.

It's still 8 handed. I wonder if Brian is on right from the beginning. Speaking of which... I bet people are going to be referring to him by his actual name after this season airs.

Should I be concerned that in anticipation of the new season of HSP I've been walking around all day with an unrelenting erection?

Apart from all the stuff that's getting knocked over, that is?

HSP really has illustrated how much the top of poker world itself has transformed in the past 2 years.

If I was asked to give a personal ranking of the 5 best NL players (more specifically, who I think people would expect to win the most on HSP if an infinite amount of hands were played with the HSP lineup), three were complete unknowns in mid 2005 (Patrik Antonius, Brad Booth, Brian Townsend).

I was told that I was going to be on the first episode. I hope they air the table from the first day (ivey, patrick, benyamine, etc.) but I think they are going to air the table with (farha, harmen, lindgren etc). I think I played better on the stong table.

OK, the first hand, Doyle badonks Jamie Gold for $20K when JG has Q/10h and Doyle had A/Q.... Doyle set him in for $100K.

This will be a great, great season.

Thanks for letting us know about when you'll be on. LOL at you being generally ignored in this thread.

Gold seemed to be trying way too hard in this episode. Limping with garbage hands like he was Negraneau or something was just bad. The hand where he turned the full boat and did the little disgusted shake of the head was the most blatant tell I've ever seen. Go to any 1/2 NL table and you will see 90% of amateur players do the exact same thing.

Everything aside though I think the Gold hating by people on this forum is so out of control. OMG he had the never to tell Doyle he could check. Big deal. Just because somebody is a "legend" doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to talk to them just like anybody else. And he did give DB respect in his interview.

On a side note there was way too much table talk in this episode almost to the point of it being distracting. We all watch HSP to see the interaction between the players but there can be too much of a good thing.
