It was my understanding that this used to signify that the person was straight edge. Now it just tends to signify that they lack imagination or kinda missed in an attempt at irony.

However, I'm old, so perhaps I don't get it.

I never knew it meant straight edge, actually I never even knew what straight edge meant until I just looked it upon wiki. I always assumed it was a sexual thing or the previous username was taken.

I'm old. And Canadian. So maybe that's why. I honestly had no idea there was an entire youth movement dedicated to living straight.
