I have played there a few times.

The 2/5NL is the best game they have there, with no max buy in, and lots of 18-21 year olds from LA and the Valley playing with their parents money.

They also spread 1/2NL with a 100 max which uses $1 chips, which is a joke, pretty much.

Aside from NL, they spread all the standard limit games like 2/4,3/6,4/8, and 6/12.

It is the most Vegas like of all the So Cal casinos (and resembles the Palms main casino floor in an extraordinary way, save for the hardwood floors). It has all the standard slots, pit games (black jack, craps with cards and non-croupier roulette), etc.

The downside is that it is one of the few casinos left that is 18+. All Indian casinos used to be 18+, but a few have gone to 21+ (including Pechanga). Call me an old nit, but I hate teenie boppers with thier know it all attitude, sunglasses, "bling", and overall obnoxious behavior. Granted, busting them makes it more fun then then it usually is, but in general, I would take a chips spewing drunken Vegas tourist over a wannabe 19 year old any day, but that is just me.

I'll be around Palm Springs until the 26th. Have had good luck at Aqua Caliente 8/16 LHE. Have not seen the No-limit going, but the 3/6 & 4/8 LHE are always going. They also have 6/12 Omaha and 25/50 progressive Kill LHE.

A nice difference is that they use poker width cards. Haven't seen that anywhere else, guess I need to get out more.

Couple good things about Morongo.

1.) Young players that play way too loose and at times aggressive. Also, by the time you get there, some of these players will have large stacks (1k-2k) and have little to no experience playing with this kind of money.

2.) Always a couple older more "experienced" players that are actually very tight and passive. A good LAG will easily overrun these players. Also, if you look young and reckless, you can use this to your advantage. I seem to be the target at the Morongo tables of these "experienced" players because I look young, I'm asian, I buy in for a large amount, and of course, I OBVIOUSLY play with my parent's money.

=)

I've played at Pechanga a few times. Is the play at Moron-Go just as bad?
