Challange: Disprove the Little Teapot orbiting the sun
I beleive, as my religion dictates, that a small teapot orbits the sun between mars and jupiter. It's so tiny, that it cannot be seen with any instruments available to humans, but it's there.
If you can prove that it's not there, I will gladly renounce my faith. ~AS |

Re: Challange: Disprove the Little Teapot orbiting the sun
The problem with using this to validate your religion is that there are approximately 23 teapots all orbiting the sun, and you have no basis for a claim that this teapot is somehow special.

[/ QUOTE ] Well, maybe not. It depends on how many of those 23 contain frozen oolong, how many have internal heat sources. Is the religion based on the teapot or the frozen tea within? Personally, I hold my faith in that apple core orbiting in a retrograde orbit in the Oorts. But I digress. |

Your argument seems to be that all beliefs that are not empirically falsifiable are equivalent. If so, I would like to see the reasoning behind it, because that's an extremely wide net you are trying to cast.

The burden increases dramatically if you want to kill me and brainwash my children. |

[/ QUOTE ] Idiot. There are 84 teapots orbiting the sun, and 1 within it. Each arc of zodiac has a hierarchy of 7 teapots, who control the elements and spirit in turn. I hope you accept this by next scorpiopotish, because those teapots have a real problem with infidels, and I'm afraid I'll have to hunt you down and...well, i won't make threats on a message board, but you get my point. |

i have zero motive to prove or disprove your teapot faith. [/ QUOTE ] Exactly! I can't go aroud telling you to disprove my religion, and then act like it's a rational faith until you do so. |
