Re: $225 JJ min re re raised
I don't like the play on the flop. You must lead out on the flop. Especially after his check. I'd have bet probably t400 on the flop. If he calls, check-fold it down. If he raises, then fold.
As played, I would re-raise to t600. If he calls, check-fold it down. |

Re: $225 JJ min re re raised
For starters, I wouldn't make the PF reraise so much. When he min-reraises, are you playing your JJ for set value? If so, I'd check-fold. If you think he'd donk around w/ other hands, I'd call the turn and call/shove a non A/K river. My standard though would be check-fold.

Raising and then folding would be awful. [/ QUOTE ] *shrug* This is a $225 table. Highest I've played is $100 tables. And even at $100, the range of hands willing to call a good PF bet and then call a large flop bet is pretty small. Usually AA, KK, QQ, or a set. Not even AK. If this was a $6 table, or even potentially a $15 table, I'd say he should push on the turn. But I'm guessing you don't see too many donkeys on a $225 table. |

Re: $225 JJ min re re raised
Is villain a winner(sharkscope stats)? 26/9 overall or at this blind level?
His line is really donkish, but sharks seem to mimic donks a lot more at the higher levels. If he's a solid winner I can't imagine you are ever ahead. Yet I can't imagine a solid player taking this line without at least one misclick involved. |

Re: $225 JJ min re re raised
yeah the stats dont make me happy with the PF reraise. i DO believe there are good spots to rr jj PF even if not overshoving but if hes like this over a big sample AND a winner on sharkscope im trying not to do this against him too often when hes opening in EP.
as played, i dont think you can check this kind of flop and then decide to call a turn bet like this. i honestly cant say what id do without more analysis (im too hung over) but if im willing to call a bet on a later street im firing this flop. if im not, im check folding the turn as played. |

Re: $225 JJ min re re raised
Looking at this again, I think the line is as follows:
Villain reraised PF. Then, when the flop came blanks, villain checked hoping for a bet so that he could check-raise. When he didn't get it, he bet on the turn. I agree with Burno that the line is somewhat donkish, though. I can't imagine someone vying for a check-raise on a $225 table. I think Villain has QQ, KK, or AA here. |
