clarify the full tilt referral bonus for me

I referred someone and chose the 100 for me, 25 for them option. they are nowhere near the 500 points for their 25 but i need 2 points to get my 1000.

question is, do i get the $100 even if they don't reach their 500 points?

id play and find out but i dont want to money into full tilt unless im close (would rather do pokerstars)
