PLO 25 flopped top set and NL draw
I'm very new to PLO and had been playing weak tight. After reading some posts on 2+2 I tried to incorporate some things I learned. How does this look?
Just got to the table--no reads. Full Tilt Poker Pot Limit Omaha Ring game Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 7 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $24.75 UTG+1: $35.05 MP1: $24.45 Hero: $14.75 Button: $19.20 SB: $31.30 BB: $6.95 Pre-flop: (7 players) Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, Hero raises to $0.5, 3 folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls. Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($1.85, 3 players) UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets $0.9, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls. Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($4.55, 3 players) UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, Hero bets $4.55, UTG+1 calls, MP1 folds. River: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($13.65, 2 players) UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $6.8, UTG+1 calls. Results: Final pot: $27.25 Thoughts? |

Re: PLO 25 flopped top set and NL draw
Fold preflop, or limp if you absolutely wants to play the hand, raising is spew even in CO, your hand is crap. Pot flop, turn and river is OK.

Re: PLO 25 flopped top set and NL draw
The way I would play this hand:
Just limp/call preflop. Bet pot or raise flop. Check turn or call non pot bet. Check river when the flush gets there. |

BTW OP you are saing NL (Nut low) draw in the title, but its Omaha High, if it was hilo your play is fine for sure.

Re: PLO 25 flopped top set and NL draw
Preflop - I dont mind a limp or a raise here, just not a donk raise, serves no purpose here. Either pot it (and hope to isolate players) or limp.
Flop - You gotta pot it Turn - You gotta pot it (w/ your $15 you should be close to ai at this point) River - Check and hope he called you down w/ 2 pair and didnt back into a flush. I dont think hes holding 45 as he just checked it down unless he c/r river If you're new to PLO I would recommend sitting down w/ a full stack always. You sat down w/ $15 which is cool. I guess you did this b/c you're new and dont want to risk losing a whole stack, but you're just losing money in the long run. I always make more and at a quicker rate when i sit with a full stack. And keep reading 2+2 as it is quite a valuable asset. |
