Default one more wtf spot

villian is one of the worst people i have ever played poker with. pt stats like 51/15/1.4. when he miniraises or limps preflop he will basically call anything to see the flop where he'll continue with any piece or overcards.

who thinks a re-raise is best here?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $50 BB (7 handed) internettexasholdem.com

Hero ($21505)
CO ($4625)
Button ($14789)
SB ($8933)
BB ($5000)
UTG ($3085)
MP1 ($10767.50)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls $50, MP1 calls $50, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $300</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, SB calls $275, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG calls $250, <font color="#CC3333">MP1 raises to $550</font>, Hero

DJ you watched it live and the postflop action?
Yeah I agree I played it pretty bad but if you recall what UTG had there was basically no way I could get away from giving him his 4k if I had come back over the top for $1500 preflop...

Do we think villian's got 99 or better here most of the time? His play was very unorthodox so I really wouldn't be too suprised to see anything from a pair of dueces to AA here....88 is way ahead of his range, and I have position, and there's a lot of dead money in the pot already so it probably is best to make another re-raise. too bad I am on a short roll and playing nitty

id call here anyway. I wouldnt wanna play a big pot with a mid pair against a donk. cause like u said hes calling your raise 100%.

so what? let him call. u r playing a big pot with position and the initative against a donk and you might very well have the best hand. + all the dead money in the pot, this is a very profitable situation, i would make the same play with AJ+ too

sounds like you'll really have no way of knowing where you are postflop even if you get HU, since he'll check/call you down.

give yourself tens and I like a repop, but eights are just too tough to play postflop vs. a station to reraise here I think.

plus there's a chance of him coming back over the top again.
