for value. TPTK + gutshot on a rainbow flop seems like a pretty non-spewy bet to me. why do you think it's spewy?

because what hands are calling us that we beat. this isnt a safe board where we want to bloat the pot. we want to play a small pot here. i think most would agree.

This is exactly what I was thinking.

i dunno, i like playing big pots when i'm likely to have the best hand. any ace calls a bet, KQ/KJ and [censored] like that calls a bet. AA/KK/AK reraise pf, as does TT a good % of the time. so AT/QJ are the only hands i'm really worried about. plus we have a draw to the nuts.

From my experience, this is not always true. I think AK is very possible here.
