Coffee at MGM
A bit of a strange question... But maybe someone here will know.
I ate at the MGM Grand buffet on Thanksgiving and had the best damn cup of coffee after stuffing my face. It was served in the restaurant. I asked the waitress what it was and she told me the name but I forget it now. All I remember is that she said it was from Netherlands. Anyone happen to know what kind of coffee they serve? Thanks |

Re: Coffee at MGM
If you liked that coffe you should try the coffee in the VIP lounge, it is to die for. The lounge is located thru the tall gold double doors immediately to the left of the front desk check-in area.

Re: Coffee at MGM
OT:
It's not the coffee. It's the big industrial maker they use to make it. Most drip style coffee makers take about 8 minutes to make a pot of coffee, which is about five minutes too long. Plus, the water is too cold at the beginning of the extraction and too hot at the end of it. Thats why most drip coffee is too weak, or lacks body, and always bitter. You can buy a high tech coffee maker like the Technovrom Mocha Master for a couple of hundred bucks and get a dynamite cup of coffee (I have one) or you can get one even better via a french press and a teakettle (better but more work). If you want a good cup of coffee, good beans are helpful, but the most important part of coffee is the equipment you are brewing it on. |
