also, being in small town, i have a strange paranoia that people know that i am an outsider. these rednecks must have really good scent or something. walking around walmart has really forced me to examine some of my previous morals/ethics. i really do not think that everyone's life is worth the same. i think that my life is worth atleast 15-20 of these cowboy's life, if only for the fact that i have never spoken the word y'all in my entire life.

fish,

For a short time, I lived in a town of ~800 pop. It was miserable. I'm pretty sure the most common coping mechanism was drugs, usually booze. That time also made me despise cowboys (the real kind).

I'unno, dude. Maybe you could shake this place up with some more fascinating social commentary re: how awesome Thailand is and how much America sucks, or maybe some stream-of-consciousness short fiction, or even a little trolling. Bet that'd whip these clowns right into shape.
