Opinions on Cung Le?
For those who don't know who he is:
Wiki Cung Le vs Brian Warren San Shou Cung Le vs Shonie Carter MMA I've seen him a couple of times fighting and it always seems like it's a mismatch. Like they grabbed a kickboxer and told him before entering the ring that there will be throws too. He has started doing some MMA (3-0 so far) recently. Is he just that good? His punches don't look that good, but he uses them well enough to set up the kicks and throws. Thoughts?

His 3 MMA fights are against a total can, a below average fighter, and an average fighter. He definitely looks interesting, but untill he takes a step up in competiion its hard to say what his potential in MMA is. He's already 34, so he doesn't have alot of time to develop. I'd like to see him against some tough competetion, like a Dean Lister or a Dennis Kang, then we'll know how good he is.

One of mma fights was against a guy that he'd already smoked in San Shou. And his age is a limiting factor. It would be interesting to have seen him fight when he was younger in mma.

I dunno, I just did not get a good read on whether I thought he was a good guy or not from that interview. Ray

[/ QUOTE ] not gonna happen, he is a big draw card for StrikeForce, so they are going the old boxing route by putting him up against weaker foes. At his age, he doesn't really have any illusions of fighting in the UFC for less pay then he needs. He gets good paydays for safe fights. as far as my opinon of him, he does what he needs to do for strike force, so it doesn't really matter how great of a fighter he is. He is there to draw a crowd, and I don't think that there is any illusion that he is anything else then that
