Default Wynn Casino = Collusion

The Game is 5-10 Blind No Limit Hold-Em. The place is the Wynn Casino in Las Vegas.

Several HIGHER LIMIT POKER PLAYERS have come to the Wynn due to the World Poker Tournament at the Bellagio (the Bellagio is full-Wynn is getting the overflow)

The Wynn poker room refuses to call a No-Limit game higher than 5-10, inspite of a list with enough players to play higher (10-20 Blind No Limit)

The Wynn Poker Room Management INSISTS we must move to a must move to a main game, instead of having one must move and two main games.

This policy is forcing players with a LOT OF MONEY ON THE TABLE to move to a game with locals who are playing in collusion. (Date December 15, seats 6-7-9)

The problem has become habit for several of the "locals" NOT TO PLAY THEIR HANDS OUT against each other and table talk about what they have during the hand when they are in the pot together.

Passing chips is allowed, table talk is allowed, appears COLLUSION is the accepted play.

Card Room management is NOT DOING anything to stop this practice and has been notified before in writing of this problem.

The local player who complained of the collusion left a note and a red card (players card) in disgust.

Several local Las Vegas players are getting in the habit of not playing their hands against each other, BECAUSE NOTHING IS BEING DONE TO STOP IT BY MANAGEMENT.

This habit not good for poker or the Wynn, it is collusion or team play.

Players who are doing this should be picked up.

It would only take a couple of "examples" being picked up to STOP the collusion.

Card room management at WYNN "forced" three players with over $ 30,000.00 between them (in a $5/$10 Blind No Limit Game) to leave the poker room and Wynn Casino (and go back to the Bellagio to play higher - and get even).

Wynn Casino's poker room policies appear to want small action only with locals in collusion, and no action most of the time when "action" is not in town.

just because some players check down hands against each other when heads up in pots does not mean they are colluding. when ignorant people such as yourself (apparently) see players doing this, they often assume that these players are colluding against other players at the table. in order to accuse someone of collusion, you need to substantiate better evidence than what youve presented here.

you didnt give specific examples as to the table talk that is taking place. it may be crossing the line and it may not be.

passing money does also not mean that players are colluding. passing money happens all the time especially at higher limits. it may be against the rules, but it is usually done anyway and is generally never a problem. players that are colluding against other players in a game shouldn't be stupid enough to pass money back and forth to each other.

Back In Sep. I noticed significantly dodgy things going on in the $1-$3 and $2-$5 NLHE games.

The most blatant recurring item was dealers (offshift) playing in the games and raise reraising other players out of a hand then checking it down. Happening once, I said OK no big deal. But it happened repeatedly amongst numerous different dealers.

I brought this issue up with 3 different floorpersons/shift sup and got the same response. "it's their money, they can play it however they like." No matter what your take on it, surely it can't be right for Wynn staff to be doing this stuff with the blessing of Wynn management personell.

I understand what you're saying, but this is the type of thing that will make many recreational players not want to play in this game or suspicious of the integrity of the game/cardroom. These are the people you want. The behavior of these locals should be changed if the cardroom wants to cultivate these games and the pros want loose action. It's not that hard to not do things that make out-of-towners uncomfortable.

If there is obvious collusion at the table at the Wynn, then walk out. Go to another casino to play. There are a ton of clean tables out there. Why stay at a crooked table?

that one guy is paranoid for saying 1/3 and 2/5NL games have collusion. I'll laugh all day at that one.

I however have played the 5/10NL @ wynn twice and do notice a handful of players "soft play" each other but not collude

its shady and I never returned and stuck it out at the bellagio

Here is one of my posts from RGP

This happened at the Wynn Las Vegas Poker Room Wed. Sept. 6th about
3am. This post was inspired by the stupid [censored]'s dianefromgreenbay's
endorsement of the room. Every local I have told this story to has a
nice similar story.

My first night living in Vegas. I went to the Wynn because it is close
to the crappy Sahara where I was staying till my apartment was ready
on Sunday. {By the way if you are looking for low limit fun game play
here -Sahara. The game is filled with dealers and floor people (late
night to keep the game going)}
I was in a friendly 4-8 game at the Wynn. There was a
boyfriend/girlfriend and mother/daughter combo in the game. The
mother was super tight and I took the opportunity to steal her blinds
every 8 hands.

Then another couple got in the game. They were loose aggressive.
MAIN HAND. Wife had Aces. Biggest pot of the night. 6 Players. One
other player had kings. Husbands helps to cap pre-flop and raises all
the way through hand. Wife wins with aces. Husband forced to show his
hand by action. He has 7 and a 2. He says something like "worst hand
you can have in hold'em". Then he walks off. As I said she wins pot
with her aces. It is very quiet. New dealer.

Although I am not in the hand I call for the floor. The dude can not
abide. The floor comes over. I explain what happened . He calls to
roll the tape. Cheater woman starts yapping loudly. The floor
apologizes to me and 2 other upset players. Floor tells cheater woman
don't do that again. The Wynn is tough- NOT. They could have have a
least kicked them out for a day and I would have been happy. Just like
they would do with blackjack. Maybe I am a nutcase, but there is no
game left to play. EVERY other player has racked up their chips and is
leaving. 3 tell me I was right to call the floor. Sadly it doesn't
matter. It is me and the couple. The floor tells them again "Don't do
that anymore". The couple is so sorry. Game over. Wynn loses rake
and reputation,. If you want to say high ask for Gary K - in the 15-30
or 30-60 at the Bellagio everyday.

What do you need to fade action? Piss on the WYNN AS THE WILL DO NOTHING TO PROTECT YOU

Not surprising...have seen similar situations most of the times I've played at the Wynn. Haven't returned there in a long time.

I concur. The last few times I have played their 5-10 NL, it has been 2 must moves and a main game. The main game ends up filling with regulars, while the MM's have the ifsh that often get sliced up before they even get to the main. Then the main game ends up playing tighter than a nun's crotch with a lot of players that know each other, and I ain't sayin', I'm just sayin', it don't feel right.
