Who have you seen get booted from a game live

I was thinking about this.

Two guys I can remember melting down at a game I was at.

First was Dennis Rodman when he was a Spur. He got two t's, and booted the basketball into the stands, Then he tore off his jersey and tossed it into the crowd.

Second one was Pete Rose when he was the manager of the Reds against the Giants, classic meltdown, kicking dirt, ect, got the boot.

Who have you seen lose it live?

I saw sweet Lou (when he managed Tampa Bay) booted from Yankee Stadium. The fans all booed him.

The next day (old timer's day) he got a standing ovation when introduced.

Oh us fickle Yankee fans.

Ozzie Guillen. It was odd too. White Sox ended the inning (it was early, like the 2nd or 3rd) caught stealing, and Ozzie came out to talk to the second base umpire between innings (the call was horrific, by the way). Ozzie didn't storm out, nor was there a shouting match between him and the ump. He was back in the dugout before the next inning started, and the next thing you know, he's thrown out of the game. I'm pretty sure at this point he stormed out of the dugout and did some screaming.

Scoured Retrosheet to find the game. It was actually in the first inning of an August 2004 game against the Tribe. The game was also interesting because Cleveland took a huge lead, the Sox had a big inning to make it close, Cleveland scored 4 in the ninth, and still almost let the game go when the Sox scored 3 in the bottom half.

I took my wife to see my team, the Tigers, at Yankee Stadium. My wife doesn't like sports much, but she loves Pudge Rodriguez, so it was cool.

Top of the 1st inning, Pudge gets thrown out for arguing balls and strikes. My wife didn't even understand what had just happened. I'm not sure she'd ever seen a player thrown out before.

When I explained it to her, she gave me a look of absolute horror. "That is SO WRONG!" Maybe in 10 years I'll convince her to go to another sporting event.

If you ever seen a Braves game there's probably like a 5% chance you saw Bobby Cox get ejected. He's going for the record this year!

I was at the Red Sox game when Carl Everett was ejected for headbutting the umpire.

He had two strikes on him. Who the hell gets himself ejected with two strikes?

Ahhh, the memories. One of Bobby Valentine's finest moments. I miss him managing in the league these days.

I'm sure I've seen a few, but the last was Larry Bowa while managing the Phils. Bobby Abreu got caught stealing to end the 7th or 8th inning in what didn't appear to be a questionable call. All of a sudden Larry Bowa comes storming out of the dugout going pure Ape, kicking dirt, throwing his hat and his gum and making as big a scene as possible. Seemed really forced.
