Default 3/6 3 barrels vs Sprediton

Villain is a reg at FT midstakes, plays kinda nitty preflop and is passive in general. Standard here?

If hes not passive in the way that he would play AJ, QQ hands this way and if he can lay down top pair'ish hands then sure, I probably take a free card on turn though but im a nit. edit: meh I probably give up on river when straight hit but I dont do this often so dont have much exp in such spots.

How often should you do stuff like this and in what situations?

I'd check the turn more often the fire again, but obviously that's a spot to mix things up. As played I'd feel honour bound to push the river just about every time.

I think your turn bet is poor. On this board I think too often he is going to have a pair + str8 draw and will look you up for a street thinking "maybe I have the best hand, if not [censored] it I've got some outs" and put you in a tough spot on the river whether to fire again or not. When I don't win this on the flop I am done. Don't have to win every pot.

i would definitely check behind on the flop. i'd probably give up on the turn, but betting is not too bad. and given the other two bets, i like the river.

Yeah I agree with this in retrospect, it's tough for him not to have some kind of draw here.
