Default 30 Rock 12/15 Thread

So, tonight's show was pretty decent. I haven't watched it before, but I caught it due to OOT's advice. I definitely enjoyed mocking To Catch a Predator, or whatever that segment is called. I was not as funny as The Office, but it was solid. For you 30 Rock fans, was this a typical episode, an exceptional episode, or a poor episode? Should I keep it on my DVR due to this?

Alec Baldwin definitely has his moments, but I don't think he was used as well as he could have been here.

Did they have a To Catch a Predator satire after Studio 60 did that in their Christmas episode? Weird, probably one of those coincidences that had both shows annoyed.

Writers Guild Nominations came out today and this show got some love (Best new show and Best Comedy IIRC amongst others IIRC), and I do like Baldwin for comedy plus Tina Fey is very cool, I might strongly consider giving this show a second chance except that the pilot was so bad.
So bad.

So very, very, very, very bad.

Wookie -
It was an average ep. There have been better ones, mainly because they featured much more Baldwin.

I'm sad that Johnny Gavin aka Dennis looks to be gone for good. He was outstanding.

"Lemme tell you something about 20-year-olds, my friend. Half of them are 16."

"I renounce my squatter's rights."

Tonight's show was average, but still pretty funny. However, this was one of Alec Baldwin's worst episodes. He's usually much funnier on the show.

OK, sounds like I'll give it another episode or two before I decide whether or not to keep following it. It definitely has potential. I'm with Dids when he said something along the lines of, "Who would have thought that 30 Rock would be the best show on TV about a pseudo-SNL show?"

Not enough Cerie in this ep. She had what, maybe 3 seconds of air time?

Yummy.

I love her and have apparently missed the ep that first string of shots are from. Wow.

I thought this was a slightly below avg ep. I like the actor who plays Dennis, but I hate the character. The stuff with Twofer and Tracey was [censored] awesome though.

Also noticed on the promos for SNL. Amy Poeler used to be cute, but now she just looks like a blonde Rachel Dratch (aka hobbit beast)

Wookie,

Dratch was on the ep, as the horible counselor. Poeler was in the SNL promo with Timberlake.

Yeah, sorry. I wasn't clear. I saw the Timberlake preview. I didn't listen to the words. I just thought it was Rachel Dratch gone blonde hugging the pretty-boy.
