Default Why don\'t Full Tilt have Disconnect Protection?

I was rather surprised when I left Party for Full Tilt and began to lose money when disconnecting. To be fair, FT is quite good at reconnecting in time to complete the hand after (the many) smaller disconnections that happen, but occasionally it won't even work for the smaller ones, or the disconnection is to long to complete the hand.

How do you people dare playing NL at Full Tilt?

Is Party really the only site with disconnect protection?

They don't have it bc they are smart. No more cheating. There really is no reason to disconnect anymore with stable internet connections.

Problem is that FT don't have stable internet connection and/or software.

Yeah, there's no way this is on the FT side, I've only been there two weeks but I play 6hrs/day and mine the rest of the time and never had the hint of disconnect.

Hehe, that's some pretty solid strategy advice.

Cable modems are nice (I have one myself), but they won't help when the problem is on the server-side, or client-side (software).

Yeah, except you're wrong. I've had, I think three disconnects in a year and two of them were when they were having a big server upgrade.

I agree that they didn't have much problem before, but now, after the US bill, the software and servers don't seem to cope with the influx of players. Take away these problems and I think their software is one of the best. Even their support was great when they had less players to handle.

I've been havnig Full Tilt "freeze" for as much as 30 seconds at a time. Not nearly as often as other posters, but I have timed out of pots. And, yes, I have a cable modem.

to be fair this seems limited to a small number compared to the whole that are having no problems.
