I really want one. My first couple months playing hours of poker everynight were spent in a metal folding chair. I had no idea what I was doing to myself, then I finally kinda stepped up to the plate and bought a $200 leather chair from office max and it's 2342038523049 times more comfy than the metal guy. I cant imagine how nice the Aeron would be...
They still going for around a $1k?

No. The $12xx (I think it's actually more like $1150) is for the polished aluminum version, I'm pretty sure a fully loaded one in plastic with the regular weave pellicle mesh is somewhere in the mid 6s or maybe mid 7s.
If you scout Ebay you can find them "used"(I'm almost positive they are stolen) for 4-5 in excellent condition. Mine had a very small tear in the seat of the mesh and that is it.
