Default 2007 NFL Mock Draft

Thought that many of you would find this interesting. Obviously its tough to predict who will end the season with the worst records and that will obviously affect the picks with teams drafting according to their needs, but I still think that its fun to start the speculation now.

btw, my early thoughts on the WR class:

Calvin Johnson = ROY and best player from this class
Ginn = bust
Jarrett = average NFL player, but will have a long decent career
Samardzija = will struggle early and some will call him a bust, but will end up playing for a while in the league and being a decent player
Rice = really don't know enough yet

Of course I reserve the right to change my opinions at least 10 times before the actual draft.

Nothing more current? This was posted a while ago and I was hoping you had one that was more up to date on what has been happening, both in college and in the pro's.

A lot of things have went down in that past month+

I think SD's biggest need is ILB. Both our starting ILBs Donnie Edwards and Randall Godfrey turn 34 next year on 4/06--bizarrely they were born on the same day in 1973.

Our WRs are good and underrated because we throw to TEs and Backs more than any other team in the league. They are efficient when targetted. Even if McCardell retires, we still have Eric Parker as a solid starter(possibly the most underrated WR in the NFL) and we should be able to get #2 production out of Vincent Jackson, Kassim Osgood and Malcolm Floyd.

That's more current(11/22) and GBN is well respected despite their poor site design.

Better than Detroit or Arizona. At least Oakland has some history.

No chance he'll end up in Carolina, so I'm hoping Green Bay is able to lose enough games to pick him.

Joe Thomas has to be virtually a lock to go to Arizona.

I may be alone in this but I think in the NFL Jarrett>Johnson

Any Chance Steve Smith ends up in Carolina so that they have a Steve Smith duo at WR?

I think its funny that its gonna end up being a team like Detroit or Oakland that takes Brady Quinn because he has about zero chance of success in either of those places.
