For the Big guy
Hello all,
I have been driving a jeep grand cherokee for the past 5 years and its life is running out. I truly loved this car and i remember the second i saw it in a magazine 7 years ago i fell in love with it and i made it a point to go out and buy it. Now i am planning on changing it and the new cherokee is really not to my liking. Its just butt ugly. I have been looking around and nothing has really struck me like the cherokee did. The car i considered the most is the range rover sport, but with taxes in my country the bill amounts to a whopping 120k far more than the 45k i paid for my cherokee. If i want to buy a car for that money i want to make sure its worth it. So i was wondering what cars would you suggest for me, keeping in mind that i am 6'4 and desperately need the comfy leg room. Turning 28 in a few days i also considered whether it would be the time to buy a nice sports car (i was looking at the bmw m6) and i think having driven a high car for the last 5 years i wouldnt mind going back to low for possibly the last time (and i have never owned a sports car) So if you have any spacious sports car that would look good for a big guy please suggest them too. Thanks |

Re: For the Big guy
I think that you should be able to fit into most cars.
I am 6'5" and have a 06 VW GTI and I have more than enough room in it. The only car that I have sat in that I had an issue with was a Boxter. I personally like cars better, I drove an SUV for years before getting my car and I absolutly love it. You could get a new M5 which is pretty much the same performance wise as the M6 but with more room. So you could almost have the romminess an SUV and performance of a sports car. |

Re: For the Big guy
VW have lots of room considering the exterior size. I'm 6'8" and I fit comfortably in my Passat, with enough room behind me to actually fit a person (albeit a smaller person). Audis should be equally roomy. I haven't sat in any of the late model BMWs, but some of the older models (early 00s) have seat rails that don't scoot back as far as those in my Passat. Stay away from the Volvo/Saab models as they have pretty pitiful front leg room as a rule.
