I would just push the river. You're going to leave yourself shortstacked if you end up losing the hand. I try to get max value, and if he has me beat, I'll just open up another one.

If you dont like a half potsized bet on the turn you need to shove there.
Dont know about the river, but you should avoid this situation anyways. |

Re: AA hand early in 9 person $5 SNG...
Sounds like a limped Set here... actully depends on the buyin...
PF => okay... Flop => Good raise.. Turn => Gee.. I would probably put 400 and check river. or Check here and call any *normal raise* from his part on river. NM... that was for a 11$+ ... Push turn... |

Why did you check the river ??
I do not see any reason not to get the rest of your stack in here. I may even push the turn but a pot bet is okay. |

Re: AA hand early in 9 person $5 SNG...
You played it well. 2/3rd pot on the turn would also be fine....
I'd probably just push river....it's only 300 more and it's not like you're going to fold if he pushes. And since if he has you beat (2 pair or better), he's going to bet....you might as well just bet the river and get value from the hands you beat. All in all though....I think you played this hand pretty well. |

Re: AA hand early in 9 person $5 SNG...
You really need to raise 5bb+1bb per limper to isolate. Your hands hold up better when isolated and you don't have to worry about getting value because the donks are going to call you all the way down.

Re: AA hand early in 9 person $5 SNG...
Also, there is no way to put people on hands or even reasonable ranges early in a $5 sng, all the more reason to thin the field, cause you more or less can't fold AA or KK regardless of the action.

Thanks for the input all...I don't disagree about leaving myself $300 on the river but it worked out...Villan had KJ and rivered two pair...I saved some pocket change ad eventually took second but I'm not sure I play it much different...maybe reaise a little more pre...
