Default XBOX 360 Elite crapping out

So, was having a blast playing this system - just bought it a week ago, I don't think I've been to class since. About a week after I get it, it stops being able to read any games. It says, "the disc is unreadable"

From what I've read, this is a common problem with 360's, and you have to send them in to microsoft to get it fixed.

LAME.

I have this sick Samsung 50" DLP HDTV, and the whole set up was like perfect - I mean, I had the original xbox for what, 20 years (I got it when it first came out, not really 20 years, I was kidding) and it STILL works, 360 elite, dunzo in a week.

Poor performance Mr. Gates. (haha)

Tough break man, I've gotten lucky so far, Original worked fine and my elite has worked fine (thus far).
