Surriously.

A lot of people need to work on engaging in a more in-depth discussion as well. Often a thread will develop into some sort of debate with the potential to be interesting, except that most posters keep re-stating the original claims on each side without responding to the reasoning that's been provided since.

If something seems really obvious to you but a good poster is asking about it, it's probably not that obvious, so take a minute to look through the thread and see whether whatever brillian objection you were about to make has been addressed already. Then respond to the response instead of just stating your original, undeveloped point.
