Default 4/180: QQ deepstacked vs. chipleader.

Button seems fairly good, semi-loose and aggressive. I haven't seen him 3-bet so far, though I did 3-bet an UTG minraise of his, he folded, a donk flat-called, and I took it down on a low flop.

Not sure what to make of this weird small reraise. Does anyone 4-bet preflop? Flop is terrible, of course, so check-fold is standard, I'd say.

Flop is standard.

Need some reasons why you didn't re-raise preflop though.

Well, ya know, we're 60BBs deep. Do we get calls from anything but QQ+, AK if we shove? It may be a 4/180, but my read is that he's fairly decent...

I understand your point, but I don't think you are at a high enough level for this to be relevant enough.

In a 4/180 I need a pretty strong read for this logic to apply. And at least if you re-raise, you don't give him a shot at that flop. You say he is a bit laggy, so he will probably have QQ+ a very small amount of the time. Your raise came from cuttoff, so a decent lag player might "resteal" pretty light. If villain is decent as you say, he might be aware of his image, and call with something like TT+, AQ+. He does have you covered and will still be deep if he loses.

Hmmm i see your point but I have a problem with it. That being the assumption that since he is a decent player he is baiting you with AA or KK. I would think that a decent player might play back at you with a much wider range here. Granted that little reraise would catch my attention. Well crap now you have me teetering both ways.

It may be closer then I once thought but I still believe I'm ahead here more then I'm not. I guess I need a better read then "decent player" to presuade me much more.

Echo: We are defineatley ahead of Buttons range here, the point OP was making was that if we push, he might call only when he has QQ+.

[/ QUOTE ]I a 4/180, yes. People do this all the time with any pocket pair, including stuff like 44.

Edit: And more importantly, they'll call- and then flop a set
