Online vs Live

Hey I was wondering what I say to a friend who thinks to be successful online you just have to “play monsters.” I was wondering how the play of online stakes compare to that of live stakes in general? He feels that online people just play their cards as opposed to their opponent. I tried explaining to him that in his live home games he plays where people buy in for 30 bb it’s hard to play poker as its pretty much all in on the flop. He also doesn’t believe that the skill level increases as the stakes do as he believes people just get richer. I tried explaining to him that people’s win rate decrease as they increase stakes but his response was “that people just get tighter, and tighter doesn’t mean better.” Because of his experience in his 10 dollar buy in home games, he now feels he can crush any stake online.
