Re: Top two pair on the monotone flop, an awful play :(
c/c turn isnt horrible as he gives you a good price trying to fill up. he has the nuts here very often so theres some juicy implied odds.
raising turn is gross. |

well you have to ask yourself how much action you'll get from hands that are behind.. especially since you have no reads/prior history. there are definately spots where i could see myself jamming the turn vs specific oponents.
the normal NL100 player isnt that savy that he will semibluff big like this. |

Re: Top two pair on the monotone flop, an awful play :(
how is a lead/fold turn here for about 3/4 pot ?
As allready stated, the average 100NL guy raaarely semibluffs AI there and will push his made flushs, sets. Since there are no other 2 pairs possible i think we can savely fold if he raises teh turn. Canīt see us either folding or raising the flop, raising allows pair/fdraw and made flushes/sets to play perfectely deceptive and we are in an even uglier spot. |

Calling flop, leading turn for about 25 should be allright. Fold to a raise.

NL 100 is all about hammer and anvil, subtle creative play is usually lost. Now, more than likely, I would have paid this guy off too, BUT, i would have done it for as cheaply as possible. For me in 100 NL ring, 3 to a flush on the flop with the way they are betting and me with 2 pair is scary. |

Re: Top two pair on the monotone flop, an awful play :(
i really don't like the turn c/r.
As explained by others, it's likely that a c/r on turn will only get action from better hands, made flushes and sets. Only hand that you beat would be something like A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9o or 2o. So on turn i c/c. If turn is a diamond, i c/f. If turn isn't a diamond, i c/c, hoping that my check let my opponent a chance to bluff with a busted flush draw. You say your turn call is horrible. It's not: once you c/red (which is bad IMO), you have to call his r/r, you have almost the odds to fill. |

[/ QUOTE ] Actually 1:9, it is no enough to hit my 1:11 draw. If we were deeper, it is an easy call. I wont think that BB intended to bluff on two opponents again. My main mistake taken from my Limit game - check-raising in no limit is too costly. I am leaning towards betting on no diamond turn and may be fold to raise, but accordingly to BB large raise on flop c/c may be the best. |
