OOT M.D., I Beseech Your Collective Wisdom!
Ok, so I just went to the dentist and I got a cavity filled in. No big deal. After she was done, I told her that my mouth felt uneven, like the filled-in tooth didn't interlock well with its complimentary tooth. She checked it out and said it looked alright. Being the cynical skeptic that I am, I turn to you, OOT, for a second opinion. Is this normal? Did anyone else experience this? Will it just take some getting used to?
Answer my question, then share your own medical stories. Who here has gotten their arm bitten off by a shark or something? |

Re: OOT MD, I Call Upon Your Wisdom!
This has happened to me a lot after going to the dentist. It always evens out after a week or two.
One time I got my arm bitten off by a shark. AND THAT'S WHY YOU ALWAYS LEAVE A NOTE! |

Re: OOT MD, I Call Upon Your Wisdom!
As I remember my experience with sealants and cavities this is almost always the case and goes away with time...

It might just be that your tooth is numb and it feels like it isn't lining up. Wait for the novacaine to wear off and check then.

It always feel like something is totally wrong when you have gotten a filling.
Imagine that someone fitted an extra arm on your left shoulder. Even through the arm fitted perfectly, it would feel silly weird for the first couple of days... |

Not abnormal. A week or so and you will adjust.
I have had this happen several times. |
