Very deep, .25/.50, pf 3-bet is called
Villain has been playing with me for a couple hours at this table. He is solid, and probably a winning player at this level. I have been playing very aggressively preflop, and so has he. I have 3-bet preflop several times in the past 100 hands, and he has a couple times also.
Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.25/$0.50 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $47.35 UTG+1: $82.40 CO: $47.25 Button: $117.45 SB: $51.15 Hero: $172.60 Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 folds, Button raises to $2, SB folds, Hero raises to $6, Button calls. This is not the best hand to 3-bet, but we are very deep and I beleive I can outplay him postflop. I think KTs is ahead of his betting range on the button. Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($12.25, 2 players) Hero bets $8, Button calls. Standard continuation bet. After he calls I am probably done with the hand here. Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($28.25, 2 players) Hero checks, Button bets $17, I could certainly play AA the way I've played it so far. He is very deep and I beleive he can lay down a big hand. Furthermore, it's possible he called me light on the flop because I've made this very play a few times. If I raise here, will he call with less than a set ever? If he does call with AQ/AK, would this be a bad spot to check-raise? |

Re: Very deep, .25/.50, pf 3-bet is called
this is totally read based. If he is as good as you say he is, he cannot call your c/r w/ just AK.
