Wow, 45 poker tables. That's, uh, decidedly medicore.

I can't wait because I can stop making all my non-poker playing friends that prefer going to Mohegan go to Foxwoods

That's slightly smaller than the Trop in AC. Sure, it's not Foxwoods' 100 or Borgata's 85 or Taj's 75, but surely 45 is awfully high to set the bar for mediocre. What sub-mediocre grades do you award? Even allowing that things like Bally's Wild Wild West don't rise anywhere near mediocre, there's a pretty wide range between that and what seems like it'd be the 5th-largest number of tables in the Northeast.

And I'd be surprised if they didn't have a quick-expansion plan up their sleeves.

What would be REALLY awesome is if nobody went!

The reality is everyone eats at Mohegan and then goes to FW,
so now the FW part won't be necessary.

I might finally need a title change and new avatar...

You've got about 3 years to come up with those.

I'd like to see some more feedback on this announcement, especially considering how many people in this forum (myself included) complain that poker at Foxwoods is substandard because there's no competition.

When it gets competition, will poker at Foxwoods improve? Do you think they'll ever get those automatic sign-up screens working? Is this going to be a better situation for those of us in the Northeast who have had Foxwoods as our only option for God knows how long?

I'm hopeful.

2008 can't get here soon enough. It also cuts 15-20 minutes off my drive time.

Why am I only allowed to compare to other venues in the Northeast?
