Players who are good but go on tilt
In several different books, one that comes immediately to mind is Ciaffone's "Improve Your Poker" the writer talks of a type of player who is a strong player whose only weakness is that they go on tilt after suffering a few bad beats.
Over the last year I've logged about 23,000 hands online and I have logged 36,000 hands over the last two years. I have yet to see an example of this type of player at the tables. The only type of bad player I commonly see is the extreme LAG and the much rarer LP player. Does this type of player actually exist online? In my experience good players seem to play well at all times. I've yet to see a good player donk off a lot of money to me because of a few bad beats. I play mainly LHE. Is this something that happens more often in no-limit games? These people sound like good opponents to have if they are actually out there. |

Re: Players who are good but go on tilt
I'm sure I haven't seen this type of player in limit holdem games, are they more common at PL/NL games? My experience is that if someone's PAHUD stats are similar to mine that they always seem to play well.

If you play live, then it's easy to spot countless players tilting . . .

I play like this. [/ QUOTE ] When I play NL. But normally after the bad beat (or in some cases bad play) I don't reload too much money. If I lose a big hand and have $40 or so left, I'll occassionaly start playing like it's a tourney and push all in when I otherwise wouldn't. But I guess that's a somewhat standard short stack play in ring games too. |

I've played with a few people that do this. b |

If you only play a single table then you are sure to see players tilting. I do and it's not always me.
