i think you should the turn and check the river. you're repping exactly a flopped set here? or mayyyyybe 99, just not gonna work v often imo. if he folds u prob had the best hand.

What do you think he check-calls turn with that is now worse than nines up?

55-88/bigger clubs. maybe not the best line for him but def possible we are good here.

So you guys are saying JJ+ never folds this river!?? If that's the case, my understanding of poker must be seriously flawed.

He might fold JJ no? Turn play at least seems possible with that hand.

no, not never. i never implied that. i just think the way the hand played out, you probably raise this flop more often than not w/ a set, right? once the board pairs on the turn it's a great card for him to check and control pot size/induce blufs w/ jj-aa if he thinks you are floating or you might v-bet a worse made hand. then on the riv the same thing applies, and since it's a blank i think he will prob talk himself into a call w/ jj-aa if he views you as aggro and capable. i just don't think it's that good a bluff, nor do i think your understanding of poker is flawed.
