It's not an issue of stupid. It's an issue of trolling via begging for attention. I think Dean's post is an amusing bit, I think Nation's post is basically "lookatmelookatmelookatme"

I think its pretty normal that you would find some of that high schoolish silliness in a gossip forum.

in all honesty you seem to play favorites with these things where your "friend's" post is funny or smart but a very similar post is deemed stupid or out of line. The most obvious example being the pokerbob - bluffthis situation.
