i am wondering if my calls PF and the next two streets were aweful or if this line seems decent enough given the obvious implied odds on villain. comments anywhere really would help. I don't really have much of a history with SnG's and i am trying to develop that part of my game. Thanks.

[ QUOTE ]
Pre-flop: (9 players) hero is Button with Q T UTG folds, UTG+1 raises to t60, 4 folds, hero calls t60 (pot was t105), SB folds, BB calls t30 (pot was t165). [/ QUOTE ] this is the only spot I see you questioning because you had great odds on a sneaky 8 out draw each street. I like this play given that you're a 2er (meaning your post flop play is likely >>any 11 villain) and have great position. NH. |

so now i have a question about preflop call with Q-10s. typically against a field of much more skilled players i would stray away from this kind of call, even in position. However when playing $11s does this call now make sense because of how poorly most villains typically play post flop? Obviously as shown i am getting paid all the way when i hit. So would this be considered a bad or iffy call still, because it seems standard to me and i do it frequently at these stakes.

think about the thought process of an average 11 donk, not very advanced, not able to comprehend sophisticated moves. You can play speculative hands in position with that understanding by not bluffing as much as you would a skilled player, keeping the pots small and making them pay for giving you those great odds on every street.

Yea [censored] that tight early play. They're all nits.
FOLD PF! People (that crush this game) keep telling to play tight early. Yea the 11ers play like fools early. But they play even worse late. You'll have much bigger edges late and you really shouldn't be calling miniraises with QT soooted early. |

Just fold PF. No reason to call a raise with QTs.
