need advice on finding monitor setup
hey guys, ive done a fairly extensive search on google for this but cant seem to find what im looking for.
i want to be able to sit on a recliner while looking at 2 2001fps. i then want to push the monitors away off to the side when im not using them so i can sit in the recliner and watch tv without anything blocking my view. in order to do this, i imagine i will need a dual monitor stand with an adjustable arm that allows me to push it off to the side. i do not want to push a table in front of the recliner to have the monitors rest on. that is my current setup and its very annoying. because the monitors weigh so much, it will be very difficult to clip the stand onto a table next to the recliner because when i push them away the table will easily fall over due to weight distribution. the only way to fix this would seemingly be to buy a very heavy type of coffee table made out of marble or something. i really dont feel like going out looking for something like this because 1) it would be very expensive and 2) it would cost a fortune to ship if i bought it online. if you can think of a suitable rig that wont really cost more than $500 i appreciate it. tx for taking time out to help a fellow sup bro. |

Re: need advice on finding monitor setup
I never understood this whole recliner thing, but whatever.
You need to get someone to custom do this most likely. It would be very similar to how a LCD TV is mounted on the wall, but most likely with a base unit instead that is fairly heavy so it doesn't tip over. Wish I knew who you would contact to get this rig built, but at least I can visualize a few ways for it to work, so I'm sure it is possible. |

Re: need advice on finding monitor setup
Someone on 2+2 already has it. I think it was in the BBV thread about a week ago where Sponger was showing his setup.

Maybe one of these will work. I have the DS100 Dual-Monitor Desk Stand, Horizontal and like it a lot. You can swivel the monitor out of the way. |
