Default URGENT System Restore Question

I'm sorry for not posting in the Computer section. I posted a problem there (that I have since seemed to be able to fix on my own) and haven't gotten a response. This question is a little more urgent. I'm using the System Restore option in Windows to fix some registry files. Windows says that personal files will not be deleted, etc. However, Wikipedia says that files in the My Documents folder will not be harmed.

So...am I risking losing programs or documents that aren't in the My Documents folder? Should I move important stuff in there?

I've done this a few times, and NO files are lost.

Any programs that you have installed will have to be reinstalled, but your files will be fine.
