NL400: b/3b vs c/r decision on flop
ive got a very solid image imo (17/13, not much action last orbits), villain is what seems to be a solid tag with loose tendencies (26/18, solid postflop).
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $2/$4 5 players Converter Stack sizes: Hero: $380 CO: $896 Button: $359.60 SB: $404.20 BB: $595 Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $12</font>, <font color="#cc0000">CO raises to $36</font>, 3 folds, Hero calls. Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($78, 2 players) Hero wonder about the (dis-?)advantages of b/3b and c/r here. |

Re: NL400: b/3b vs c/r decision on flop
If anybody can find a good reason to bet, I'd like to hear it.
Betting out leaves you no FE for your 3-bet, takes away free monies from his cbet, and you'd really like to get the last bet/raise in here. |

Re: NL400: b/3b vs c/r decision on flop
if i bet like 50, will he raise aa/kk/qq anytime? o just call sometimes because board looks drawheavy, but he should know that only ak- and aq of clubs are real dangerous draws for his overpair here. if he raises, i think it would be between 150-200 (he didnt pot it preflop too), so he will get 2.5-3:1 for a call if i push - with aces he'd call it for sure, but with kk and qq against a b/3bai in such a spot?

Re: NL400: b/3b vs c/r decision on flop
This is good spot for c/r.
Most TAGs realize that a bet by you in this spot is almost always going to be b/3bet which allows him to play perfectly and fold AK/AQ and raise/call shove w/ JJ+. C/r for the free monies like BJ said. |
