Default HSNL HU Championship Rules Discussion thread

I have the spreadsheet up with all the names... you guys are right around 32, do you want to do the first 32 or try for 64? Another option is to do 48 and have the final three and have each player play the other two in a best of three for the championship.

Also I assume we are going to have trusted posters (other than me) hold the money in escrow again, is that right?

What do you guys want? I offered to help run it again but remember this is YOUR tournament, I'll just execute your ideas.

Please post all ideas about how you want the HSNL HUC-2 tournament to be run in this thread.

When you've decided who is gonna hold the money you should notify Lee Jones so they don't get suspicious about everyone sending 5k to diff accounts. Maybe they will even arrange an account to hold the cash and pay out accordingly when requested.

I think 32, or maybe 48. 64 is gonna take forever to fill, and forever to play.

that is an idea, but last year we had a problem with not everyone having money on stars (though I guess they do now since party went kaput?). Also if we let Stars touch the money they might try to rake it, then again they might not. After we get a bunch of ideas in this thread I'll email Lee Jones with what we're thinking.

i think we should try to get 48 by the end of the weekend, if we can't, then go with the first 32

32 man single elim no sattys. also some1 should holld the $ that has accounts on the three major remaining sites (PS FTP UB) for ease of payment. i dunno if i fall into 'respected poster' category, but i will volunteer to keep track of whoeevers paid.

after that, lets get some dates decided on & play!

why wouldnt we take as many as possible assuming that they are 2p2ers who are eligible?

regardless though, with first place being as high as it will be, i am all for a best 2 of 3 for the finals, and maybe even semi finals?

oh yeah, and i didnt respond to last thread, but im in.

I can hold some money, I like the escrow idea because it's going to be a few weeks before i can get a sizeable roll back on to stars and I NEED MONEY.

I can hold the $/payout if im needed. I think 32man is good, this shouldnt take forever to get started/organize/play out. I agree with best 2/3 for semis and finals also...
