$4/180, 99 hand against tilting? player
Villain just gave away his chips with a desperate bluff on the last hand and is probably tilting so folding really didn`t even cross my mind. But should I just call and fold if someone behind me wakes up or push?

I'd push it in. [/ QUOTE ] I prefer a call here. It's early in the tourny, and a significant raise behind you lets you get out of the hand gracefully (read: with most of your stack still intact). I'm not at all worried about the villian's hand - I'm worried about someone behind me. I think a push only gets called by a higher pair and probably AK. If I was on the button and there were no limpers, pushing is fine, but with your position (you have 4 active players behind you - don't forget about the UTG limper), I think calling is your best option. |

I'd push it in. [/ QUOTE ] I think that this is push or fold (and I would push.) You don't want to see a flop here for over 20% of your stack if someone calls behind. |

Re: $4/180, 99 hand against tilting? player
I don't like folding and I don't like pushing, and calling is weak.
A push will only get called by big hands, a fold is weak. I like a raise to around 600-700. If you're re-raised then you are probably beat and you can live to fight another day. If you get called then I'd push on the flop crossing my fingers that they missed or think you hit a bigger hand. |

"A push will only get called by big hands"
this could not be more untrue in the 4.40s. A pus will be called by 22+ and Ax+. Hoping that you have some common carded opp's is also not out of the question. i would be completely confident in seeing KX and AX calling a push here. |

If someone wakes up w/ a better hand you still have outs, but folding and raising anything but AI is retarded. Calling for 20% of your stack is also non-optimal. Let's gamble it up a little here. |

I know it's a push here, but I've got a question to regulars. Could you consider a reraise to 700-800, if hero had 3 times bigger stack, or is it also a push then?

[/ QUOTE ] That's when the call becomes a pretty good option too since you're calling off less than 10% of your chips. Raise to 700 is not bad either. Actually, the push becomes ALMOST bad in that situation (but not in $4.40). |
