Default Bubble & Squeak Thread (October)

Any random stuff you want to talk about, moan about, be happy over, vent about and so on, but not significant enough to start a thread about, you can post here. There's no restriction on one-liners, so make it as long or short as you like.

You win the prize for asking! 1-off undertitle change for you to whatever you want (within reason), no time limit.

Bubble & Squeak is what we call 'fried-up leftovers' here in the Promised Land. It seemed a good choice for this thread.

Random stuff huh? Hm, ok.

Someone explain to me what is up with Madonna running over to another country to adopt children. Humanitarian or just ridiculous? She's smart and powerful. Does she not get that it looks kind of like she bought a kid for publicity?

Not only that but I read that the child she is adopting is not orphaned, just motherless. So, this man is sacrificing his child to give him a "better" life. Madonna stated something along the lines of she would bring him back to visit....

I'll look for the quote...

Yeah I heard something like this too on the Today Show. That is just ridiculous. Why not just give some orphanages a lot of money to help them out with supplies and educational tools.

Also, I actually know a family in California that went to Russia to adopt a daughter. While they were there the lawyer hooked them up with a family that had too many kids and they ended up adopting the youngest child for a "fee". Always seemed to me like they had bought the baby.

I don't think I want your salad cream coming anywhere near me.
