Re: 98 diamonds are forever - 7 handed 50NL
I would call and draw to a blank, since that seems to be the minority of the deck. Block bet a non-spade, non-A, non-K, non-9 river.

Re: 98 diamonds are forever - 7 handed 50NL
Lead all over the place. I like a flop lead, because check/calling here is meh. There's really only 6 cards that you're that happy to see, and if a Q comes and he has AK (which he should fold to a lead) you are [censored]. Anyways, I bet/fold the turn since he should have SOMETHING and you are ahead once that turn hits. As it is I think I'd reraise and then shove the river. I probably fold if he 3-bets the turn.
Actually I might be overestimating the play on the beginner's tables, if that's the case then treat this like the nuts and reraise, shove river, never folding. |

Re: 98 diamonds are forever - 7 handed 50NL
Kay. I'll lead the flop next time (I expected a c-bet from him and didn't want to see a reraise come back at me was the reason I didn't bet). I ended up pushing the turn for my stack. He thought about it and called with QdAs and the board hit a four flush on the river. I'm just wondering if it was an overall bad play. I put him on good hands figuring TT, JJ, QQ, KK, AA, AK, AQ. KQ. 1/8 chance he actually has the straight and a smaller than 3/80 chance that he has the flush. I figured he was betting small so that he could fold to a reraise...but then called my push for an extra $52. I was a 75% favorite...but did I do the right thing? He called with a pair, a flush draw, and an inside straight draw. Would he have called with a set? Definitely.

Re: 98 diamonds are forever - 7 handed 50NL
wtf, requin no. Leading turn folding to a raise sucks, they are deep enough that we can get creative. I like CRing the turn and folding to a reraise given how we got there. But yeah, c/c flop is gross. I like a lead or a CR, which isnt so bad this deep.
