I hope the emoticon you put with this thread title is because you are shocked an american would commit treason, and not that this guy has been charged with same. Also, while I believe the Rosenbergs might not have been formally charged with treason but with violations of espionage acts which carried a death penalty as well, in reality the actions they were convicted of equate to treason.

If the guys lawyer is smart he will show all the proven fake al kida and bin laden videos and create enough doubt to get him off.

Assuming, of course, that he gets to go to court, and that any forced confessions are inadmissable. torture,etc.

If the 1 mil bounty on him is dead or alive, then I don't like his chances of making it to court versus being whacked for the reward if he can be found and killed/captured.

She would obviously have no defense.

There's not much substantial to this topic unless someone wants to make that argument that this guy isn't actually guilty of treason. This is a 2 line post.

The reason I thought my OP was ok was because the quoted lead paragraph gave a pretty good summary of the article. My main beef is with links where we are guessing about what is in the link until we open it.
