Default stupid ratholing policy at UB

So I sit w/ $447 @ 2/4 7 card stud on UB, get up to cash out 100, and then return. They say I can't sit for 15 minutes. This is dumb. It's not like I need anything close to 447 to sit. There's no way I'm gonna lose even half that back to these donkeys. This policy is just dumb.

They have a ratholing policy for limit? That's just stupid. At least set it at 25BB or something.

That's pretty standard for almost any B&M or online poker room.

Yes, its the principal of the matter and affects the "appearance" of the game. I.E. if there is a ton of chips at the table, it must be a good game. When you sit down and see a big stack, it affects the way you play. (Well, probably not you, but the average player)

Maybe you should try not sitting with 111 BB at a limit game.

And I'm sure that it is a lot easier to apply the rule to every table than to decide which games/stakes/etc. it should apply to and program them individually. And if the rule varied, they would get constant gripes about why can't I do it here when I just did it there.

The specific question here is why did the OP sit down with that much to begin with, and then why did he feel an urgent need to rathole some of it?

I don't play at UB, but the default buy-in at most sites is $80 or $100 for a $2-4 game. The first available option is usually your whole bankroll. Is that what happened/
