You know you're an underdog against the open threes, so I'd play it just like you did.

Reminds me of a razz hand in Play Poker Like The Pros. Phill Hellmuth started with (A4)5 while Johnny Chan started with (AA)A. Johnny hit four runners for a jack low while all Phil could muster was a queen low.

yeah, but open 3s who clearly doesn't like his hand...I was thinking a bluff might have won it on an earlier street.

Then again, I wouldn't have had a good laugh when I caught broadway

True. A bet on fourth street or fifth street would both have been fine.

I don't think there's any point at which I bet this dog, either.

Reminds me of one of my favorite hands I ever played. $3/6 stud at Canterbury. I start with (A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and make quad Queens.

I would have completed on third and probably bet fourth or fifth.

*EDIT*
OOPS, didn't see it was Stud 8. I would have folded third and played every other street the same.

edit again, who the hell bumps a thread over 2 months old that had no real interesting situation in it.
