Perfect spot for the cold-call pre-flop. I'd check-raise this flop, I'm not really sure what a donk accomplishes here. River I'm not so sure about. I think a bet-fold is your best option, but I could see checking and folding to a bet from BB, but calling a bet from button.

Given your description of BB I think you can bet and call one back to you. If BB wouldn't call two on the turn with one pair, I'd say check/call.

checks

if BB bets, I'm folding unless it's only one to me

if Button bets, I'd consider raising but I'd probably chicken out and call

Why just call preflop? Against a steal, I almost always raise to drive out the BB when I have a hand. JTs isn't great, I feel much better HU.

I feel that knocking out BB is much more valuable than anything we gain postflop by calling preflop.

I C/R the flop to protect my hand. The way you played it I c/c one on the river.

Flop: I'd check/raise.

River: I'd check/call as long as its only 1 bet to me.

On a separate note, I fold this PF. I don't CC button raises from SB. Either 3 bet or fold for me.

The problem is that TJ is not a show-downable hand, so we likely have to hit to win it. With this being the case, it's better that BB comes along and improves our implied odds. We are also in great position to check-raise any flop that hits us.
