Default 25/50 tough spot vs Lodden.. :(

25/50 full ring on stars.. definitely not my usual game but there were several very weak spots in the game so I sat, unfortunately this pot was not against a fish, but Johnny Lodden. I haven't played full ring in forever though, so I might be unsure of a lot of spots. Anyway this just went down and I'm not sure what the best line is here. I had played a few spots w/ lodden and most were pretty meaningless, I doubt he has much of a read on me, just that I have been playing fairly TAG.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $50 BB (8 handed) pokerhand.org hand converter

Button ($2325)
SB ($16718)
BB ($5891)
UTG ($1725)
UTG+1 ($2816)
MP1 ($5216)
Hero ($4925)
CO ($8399.50)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $200</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, SB calls $175, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>.

Flop: ($450) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $350</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $1250</font>

... I think calling in this spot is ok, but can be sort of transparent. I can't really think folding is good against such a hyper aggro player. Not sure if I should call, fold or shove here though.

If you advocate calling, what is your plan on the turn? About half the deck is a "bad" card here, so I'd like to hear what most ppl think is optimal.

Personally, I push or fold.

FWIW, in a full ring game, what's a good player's range for calling from the SB pre-flop? Personally, I'm calling with speculative hands that I can check-raise, which is why I'm tempted to push here against me.

With his stack, and yours, I'd be raising anything more than 99 pre-flop, and I wouldn't check-raise a set on that flop.

Have you been making continuation bets after every time you've raised preflop?

Have you ever been pushed off those continuation bets by a raise?

If it's yes to the first question, then 75% of the time push here. If it's the second, push 100% of the time.

In this case, if he is indeed hypoagreesive, I push every time.

If it wasn't him then it was someone else on his account, Lars-Magne.

Sorry to derail but:

At this time I have 8 k at another 25-50 nl table and is about to leave, but I’m in small blind and pick up 8-10 off- Everybody fold around to me and I push it all in. He that is in BB has seen that I am on tilt and takes ‘Time’. I tell him in the chat like: What are you thinking about I have 8-10 off suit`. After some time he call’s with his A-J for his 7k. I hit an 8 on the flop, and he doesn’t get any help. I logged off for the night after this. GG!!

I can't see calling, but then I've never heard of Lodden and don't know just how aggro he is. He'd have to be pretty crazy to call here though.

Requin,

I'm pretty sure Johnny Lodden is BadIP on other sites.
