Default insect antenna found?

do bugs antennae just fall off? i think i found one on the floor, but it could also be just a piece of plastic from something.. i dunno. it was maybe 3 inches long and at one end it was thick and round, kind of like.. picture a teardrop shape but reeeeeeeeally stretched out. anyone know if this happens?

If you suffer from leprosy you might have lost something very important to you but didn't notice when it fell off.

no pets..yesterday 2 maintenance guys came in to clean the air conditioner filter and check the fire extinguisher, maybe they dropped something. i dunno.. when i first saw it, i thought it was a piece of plastic for some reason

I'm pretty sure that it is possible for parts to fall off insects. I have found similar things around my house before. I wouldn't worry unless it becomes a regular occurence.
