Default 5/5 Live TPTK on uncoordinated board. Villian C/R AI.

5/5 rotation game, NLH/PLO. The game has just started no one bought in for more than 500, (2K max, the game usually plays deeper than this). Effective Stacks are ~450, I cover. Villian is one of the few solid players in this game, just playes his cards, I've never seen him make a big bluff all in. I generally avoid playing pots with him, because there are so many other better targets, and he's pretty tight, so I generally fold when he bets unless I have a very strong hand.

PF, Fish 1 raises from ep to 15, 3 other fish call, I call with AJo on the button. Villian calls from SB.

Flop ~ 90

23Jr

check to the raiser who donkbets 50, he does this with basically every hand he is the open raiser in. Folds to me, I make it 200 to go. Villian pushes for 405 total.

I....????

You could make the argument that Villian is doing it because of the raiser always c-betting. However, you can more easily make the argument that you're in big trouble.

But, you have to pay $205 into $745 so have to be right or outdraw someone like 22% of the time (205/950), so I don't see how you can pass unless I'm misunderstanding how big the pot is.

i think you are probably forced to call here, depending on what he thinks of you and how he tends to play medium strength made hands.

Look into his soul to make sure he doesn't have a set, then call.

Sounds like a fold, I don't think this guy is shoving KJ. I'd fold PF too.

If you'd fold this hand on the button for 15 dollars in this game then you should never ever sit.

This is not the internet. Its a live game filled with live ones who love to throw money around and will never fold an over pair. The villian in this hand happens to be one of the few solid players in the game.

So after he pushes. I ask him, "Bobby, you have a set?" He's very calm, he says "I never tell anyone what I have". This isn't true, he will often let the big loosers in the game off the hook. I ask him if he'll show if I fold and he calmly says he will. My read here is he is very confident he's ahead, not that he's acting confident while bluffing. Like I said, I've litterally never seen him pull a big buff, I've only seen him play his cards. I have made plenty of thin calls in this game, and draged big pots with middle pair picking off bluffs. He's seen me do this plenty.

Pretty villain dependent. Clearly he is reprsenting only one of three hands: 22, 33 or 23 (if this is live anywhere near your location, certainly possible). The thing is, how good is he? Conventional wisdom of course is don't slow play sets but this is a pretty dry board. There are a couple of crappy straight draws there but no flush draw. Is there any chance he would slowplay a set here on the flop? In otherwords, is he representing a set in a situation where he wouldn't play it that way?

What's your image? I assume you wouldn't make this move with less than AJ and villain knows this.

I think villain has JJ,33 or 22. (He probably wouldn't re-raise JJ preflop?). Actually, maybe he has QQ. I guess 32 is possible but good chance he'd fold that preflop. 45 must be a possible hand. Thinking villain could have 45 here is the only way I'd call. Even then that's only because of the great pot odds. Fold.

I don't like your initial raise, I just call the 50 dollar bet.
